Zandu Ratnagiri Rasa

Ratnagiri ras is an Ayurvedic medicine in tablet or powder form.

Uses:

1. It is used in the treatment of all types of fevers.

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and Kapha.

dosage:

125 mg once or twice a day, before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor. It is traditionally administered along with honey, Milk, hot water.

10g fine powder of each of

Shuddha Parada – Herbal purified Mercury

Shuddha Gandhaka – Herbal purified Sulphur

Tamra Bhasma – Bhasma prepared from Copper

Abhraka Bhasma – Purified and processed Mica

Swarna Bhasma – Bhasma of Gold

Loha Bhasma – Bhasma prepared from Iron

Vaikranta Bhasma – Bhasma (Calx) of Tourmaline

Quantity sufficient of juice extract or decoction of

Bhringaraja – Eclipta alba

Shigru – Moringa oleifera

Vasa – Malabar nut tree (root / whole plant) – Adhatoda vasica

Nirgundi – Vitex negundo

Vacha – Acorus calamus

Chitraka – Lead Wort (root) – Plumbago zeylanica

Munditaka – Sphaeranthus indicus

Draksha – Raisin – Vitis vinifera

Amruta – Indian Tinospora (stem) – Tinospora cordifolia

Jayanti – Sesbania egyptica

Agastya – Sesbania grandiflora

Brahmi – Thyme leaved gratiola (whole plant) – Bacopa monnieri

Katuki – Picrorhiza kurroa

Kumari – Aloe vera

Fine powder of ingredients is triturated with juice extract and made into paste form, taken in a closed container, heated to 400 – 500 degree celsius for 3 – 4 hours, obtained powder is used as it is or made into tablet form.
